Terms of Service

The short version. Synapse is a tool you own. Use it lawfully and respectfully of the people in your life. It’s provided as-is while in active development, and your data stays on your device. If something here conflicts with the law where you live, the law wins.

1. Acceptance

Synapse (the “app”) is made by Mina Logic (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

2. The app

Synapse helps you remember the people you meet by fusing context already on your device. It is a personal tool for your own use. We may update, change, or discontinue features, especially while the app is in beta.

3. Your responsibilities

Use Synapse only for lawful purposes and in line with the platform rules (Apple App Store, Google Play).
Be respectful of other people’s privacy. Only record information about others that you’re entitled to, and use it responsibly.
You’re responsible for the device you use and for keeping it secure, since your Synapse data lives on it.

4. Your data

Synapse stores your encounters and people on your device. We don’t require an account and don’t collect your content on a server. How the app handles permissions and data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

5. Purchases (Synapse+)

Optional subscriptions are sold and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Manage or cancel anytime in your store account. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.

6. Intellectual property

The Synapse name, logo, and app are owned by Mina Logic. These Terms don’t grant you any rights to our branding beyond using the app as intended. Your own content is yours.

7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Synapse is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, especially during beta. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above; material changes will be highlighted.
